Patrick B. Jenkins has more than 20 years of experience in community relations, government administration and public policy. He founded Patrick B. Jenkins and Associates in January 2008 and co-founded Distinctive Public Affairs, LLC in 2010. He left Distinctive in September 2012.

Patrick B. Jenkins & Associates is a consulting firm specializing in strategic solutions for businesses and campaigns, government, and community relations. Prior to starting his own firms, he served as a government affairs specialist for two years at Kasirer Consulting. He has advised clients in several industries including technology, financial services, real estate, legal, education and others. As industries try to navigate government bureaucracy, we guide them to successful solutions.

Patrick began his career in government and community relations with the NYC Comptroller’s office before serving for seven years as Executive Assistant and District Director to a Queens member of the U.S. Congress. In that role, he was responsible for district policy and operations. He also has extensive campaign experience serving as a consultant to several local and statewide campaigns including leadership roles in campaigns for Mayor, Governor and Attorney General. In addition, Patrick served as an advisor and operative for several other national, state, and local campaigns.

On the local scene, he was Chairman of an LDC, member of Queens Community Board 12 and Co-Chair of its Economic Development Committee. He is also a member of the State Democratic Committee. He serves on the board of the Battery Park Conservancy and is a member of the 100 Black Men of NY. His philanthropic efforts center on mentorship and leadership through organizations including 100 Suits for 100 Men and Empower My Hood.

Patrick received his bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and his master’s degree in political science from Brooklyn College. He currently resides in Queens with his wife Dawn.
